About

A professional writer living in Idaho. A country girl and a city dweller.

I was born on my grandparents’ dairy farm in a rugged, high desert region of Idaho called the Owhyees. A naturopath delivered me in a doublewide trailer. Whenever I boast about being born in a trailer, my Mom likes to say, well, it was a brand-new trailer.

Just before my third birthday, we moved to a small farm north of Weiser, Idaho. And that’s where my parents still live. My childhood bedroom remains locked in time—a mini-museum to me.

Growing up, if we wanted to watch television, we had to adjust the big antenna on the hillside to get a signal. So, I read instead. And I wrote.

After college, I resided in cities—Orlando, Dallas, and, currently, Boise. This mix of rural roots and urban living defines how I understand the world. I approach new people and places with curiosity, respect, and enthusiasm. I always want to know what I don’t know.
